Mission Statement
The Prince Albert Safe Shelter for Women seeks to serve the needs of women and children who require safety and support due to an abusive relationship.
Prince Albert Safe Shelter for Women
Provides
The Shelter provides temporary shelter, safety, nutrition, transportation, information, referrals and support to women and children who are experiencing physical, mental, sexual, emotional, and/or spiritual abuse.
Accommodates
We accommodate 26 residents; a combination of women and their children.
Operates
We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days per year with trained and experienced staff on duty at all times.
Services Offered
Safety
Protection, liaisons to police and victim services.
Shelter
A clean, home-like atmosphere with healthy balanced meals where women and their children can be safe and make plans.
Support
Non-judgmental listening, exploration of choices and options as well as assisting women in making connections to meet their needs.
Referrals
Referring women and their children to appropriate community agencies and resources.
In-House Programming
Group and individual sessions on a wide range of topics.
The Shelter is a non-profit, charitable organization operated by a volunteer Board of Directors.
